Yuma Stats provides cyclic reporting of Yuma's primary economic indicators. Our basic product is the printed Yuma Stats Quarterly Summary of Economic Indicators providing a reference record of past economic performance. The accumulation of these summaries provides a historical context for understanding Yuma's economy. As economic data unfolds, email updates are also sent to subscribers for many key metrics. The sum of these services produces the most timely and expansive compendium of regional economic data available anywhere!
The Yuma Stats data compilation is comprised of the following key indicators:
1. Regional population including sub-jurisdictions. These data include year-over-year growth comparisons originating from both the U.S. Census Bureau and American Community Survey (ACS). (Annually)
2. Yuma County employment data, both by sub-jurisdictions and sectors. These data are presented in two forms including updates to past periods (Monthly).
3. Yuma County Taxable Sales- Individual charts and tables are provided for overall, hotel/motel (transient lodging), restaurant/bar, and retail sales. Charts provide a 4-year comparison background and running change from prior year stated as a percentage. (Monthly)
4. Municipal Sales Tax Collections- Data is presented as a one-year running total compared to the same point, one year ago. Individual charts are provided per jurisdiction showing sales tax collections. For the city of Yuma, both general sales tax and special 2% hospitality taxes are charted to include a 3-year historical perspective. Collections for the county's health, jail, and excise taxes are also included. (Monthly)
